Admission MBBS / BDS 2019 – 20

  • In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to MBBS/BDS Courses held for the said academic year.
  • However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile.
  • In respect of the candidates with Bench Marked Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile for General category candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the All India common merit list in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
  • To be eligible for admission to the MBBS/BDS Courses, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at the Qualifying Examination as mentioned in Graduate Medical Education Regulations-1997 as amended in 2018 and BDS Course Regulations, 2007 and in addition must have come in the merit list of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.
  • In respect of the candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC category, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology taken in qualifying examination and competitive examination (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) be 40% marks instead of 50%.
  • In respect of the candidates with Bench Marked Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology taken together be 45% instead of 50% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Provided that 2 years of regular and continuous study of Physics, chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology taken together shall be required at 10+2 level for all the candidates. Candidates who have passed 10+2 from open schools or as a private candidate shall not be eligible to appear for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG). Furthermore, study of biology/bio-technology as an additional subject at 10+2 level also shall not permissible.

  • As per the directions of Hon. Supreme Court, the admissions/counseling for MBBS course in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth an Institution Deemed to be University will be conducted by Directorate General Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
  • In order to comply with these directions, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has constituted a Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) under Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS)
  • All the students seeking admission to MBBS course in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth will have to follow the instructions as notified on the official website of Medical Counseling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in)
  • For details of scheme of counseling, schedule, participating institution and information on Sumandeep Vidyapeeth the candidate shall visit www.mcc.nic.in on regular basis.

1.Student should visit www.mcc.nic.in, and Login for “New-Registration”. On choosing Login ID & password and updating requisite data, the candidate registration is completed.

2.Subsequently, candidate can login using “Candidate login” to access his/her account

Note:

  • Jain minority candidate shall mention their religion as JAINISM during registration only otherwise they may not be able to see Jain minority
  • Seats of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Candidate interested in NRI seats carefully select their Nationality while registering themselves

3.Choice filling

  • As per counseling schedule as and when choice filling opens, the candidate has to Log in at mcc.nic.in through Candidate Login.
  • Then go to the “Choice Filling” window
  • The software will show all the choices available as per the category (General/ Jain/ NRI) of candidate
  • Select the the preference as below;
  • If the selected choice is not submitted and locked within the server time of mcc.nic.in, the choices will get automatically locked
  • Please take the printout of the locked choices.
  1. In furtherance, MCC announces result and notify the candidate whether he/she is allotted or not allotted to institute from the choices he/she filled.
  2. Candidates who have been allotted institute as per result published shall download the allotment letter.
  3. Students who have been allotted to Sumandeep Vidyapeeth need to report along with all original documents, two sets of xerox copies and fees within the date(s) given by DGHS – MCC.

There shall be three distinct categories for admission into this university

  1. General / Management Category
  2. Jain Minority Category
  3. NRI Category

From the seats available in MBBS and BDS course, 15% of the seats shall be filled from the NRI category & of the remaining seats 50% shall be filled from the candidates belonging to Jain Community & other 50% shall be filled from the management category.

  • Vacant NRI seats shall be offered to Management category candidates in accordance to merit & the fees structure will be equivalent to NRI quota fees to be paid in INR.
  • Vacant Jain Minority seats shall be offered to Management category candidates in accordance to merit & the fees structure will be of Management category fees.
  • In case of any revision in stipend policy for the Undergraduate, the effect of the same shall be applied to above mentioned fees structure. The student has to submit the undertaking for the same at the time of Admission.

Note:

  1. The candidate has to pay the entire annual fees at the time of admission.
  2. The candidate has to pay the entire annual fee irrespective of deposits made by candidate to MCC at the time of registration
  3. The annual course fee can be paid to the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth through Cheques/DD/Net Banking. The candidate should bring account payee cheque/s or DD for fees in the name of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University.
  4. Student also must bring cheque/s for securing future fee. It is advisable to contact admission helpdesk of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth before preparing cheque/DD.
  5. The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth accepts payment only towards admission fee, tuition fee and other fees as notified.
  6. Sumandeep Vidyapeeth does not charge capitation fee or donation in whatever nomenclature or form.
  7. College Deposit will be refunded without interest after completion of course and on clearing all dues of the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.
  8. The candidate shall pay tuition fee and other fee, as prescribed by the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth within the due date notified. If the fees paid after due date, the student will have to pay late fees payment charges as per the policy of the University.

Refund Policy

Scenario Refund Rule
A. If a candidate is admitted at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 1 conducted by mcc.nic.in , resigns from seat within time as stipulated by medical counseling committee Rs 10000(For Management & Jain Minority Candidates) & 385 USD (for NRI Candidates)  will be deducted from the tuition fees paid by the candidate at the time of admission

Remaining amount will be refunded within 7 working days

B. If a candidate is admitted at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 1 and is not upgraded during Round 2, resigns from seat within 2 days of declaration of Round 2 result Rs 10000(For Management & Jain Minority Candidates) & 385 USD (for NRI Candidates)  will be deducted from the tuition fees paid by the candidate at the time of admission

Remaining amount will be refunded within 7 working days.

Please note that beyond two days after the deceleration of round 2 results, no admission can be cancelled. And Scenario C will be applicable to such candidate

C. If a candidate is allotted at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth during Round 2 joins the institute & then resigns from seat Once the candidate joins the Round 2 allotted seat, he/she is not allowed to resign from the seat till the counseling is over or any time thereafter.

In such cases

a) Forfeiture of entire fees paid at the time of admission

b) the unconditional bank guarantee or security cheques deposited by the candidate at the time of admission in favour of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for the payable amount will be enchased by the University

D. Jain Minority students admitted to MBBS  will execute a bond for serving the University in the area of need for a period of one year after completion of course on subsistence allowance that may be decided by the University at that time. In the event of breach of (Scenario D)by  the student during the course of after the course Pay to the University a Sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as penalty and,

Pay to the University the difference of fees between the fees prescribed for the Management category seats and the Minority Category seats along with interest of 12% per year from the date of admission till the date of payment

Apart from this the scenario A, B, C will be applicable as per the situation.
